LinkedIn recently published its ‘Top Skills 2016’ report detailing the most desirable skills that employers are currently looking for globally across 14 countries.
It is not surprising that digital reigns supreme, but it’s very interesting to note that ‘statistical analysis and data mining’ remains at the forefront and is joined by newcomer ‘data presentation’.
This suggests that visualisation is here to stay and is actually increasing in importance, rather than a trivial passing trend. It also illustrates that companies are relying more than ever on data sources in order to make strategic company decisions, and in order to do so are crying out for insightful analysis that is clear and visually engaging.
