Traditionally science and arts have been viewed as opposite ends of a spectrum. Science being analytical, serious and rational while the arts were perceived as playful, intangible and abstract. However they have one key thing in common: imagination.
This podcast by Nevertheless explores how science and arts combined through imagination can help us understand and connect with the world around us. Never has this concept been more relevant than now, with the continued rise of storytelling and visualisation of complex data. Understanding the science behind it is essential, as is a creative eye, but the real power lies in combining the two through an imaginative idea which communicates the insights with true impact.
As Albert Einstein once said “The greatest scientists are artists as well."
