The winners of the 2019 Kantar Information is Beautiful Awards were annouced last week. In the overall 'most beautiful' category, the winner was the interactive scientific poster by the GEOMAR Helmholtz Centre for Marine Resarch.
The touch screen display is installed on board the Hapag-Lloyd expedition ships and gives passengers access to detailed 3D visuals that explain global oceanic processes, pollution and climate change. These visuals are complemented by audio commentary to aid understanding. The project was designed by Science Communcaiton Labs and can be explored further here.
